Grants available now in West Yorkshire

Just recieved this in an email from Community Foundation for Calderdale and phoned to confirm the details.

Their Press Release for 25th January 2007
Quote:

Local Network Fund

Get in on the action!! Act now or miss out!

This is the last chance for young people’s groups in West Yorkshire to get a share of £1.6 million from the Local Network Fund!

The Community Foundation for Calderdale manages the Local Network Fund for Children and Young People in the West Yorkshire area and is concerned that children and young people could be missing out.

This year is the final year of this great grant giving scheme which has helped many community and voluntary groups.

Megan Vickery, Grants Manager at the Community Foundation said “It would be a real shame if children and young people didn’t get this last chance to benefit from a great project funded by the Local Network Fund.

So please, if you are involved in a local children’s project, telephone for an application pack on 0845 113 0161.

It’s for young people of all ages, so any community group working with young people should call”.

Children and young people living where there are few opportunities are in real need.
An enormous range of activities can be funded from local junior soccer clubs, youth clubs, and after school clubs to play groups and toddler groups.

The Local Network Fund wants to help communities in need in your area and make a real difference to young lives.

Voluntary and Community groups working with children and young people can apply for a grant of up to £7000 to help them help local kids.
If groups in your community haven’t applied then your kids could be missing out!

Good luck
