Preschool Early Years resource Halloween activities for toddlers 2 year olds

These are a few ideas to enjoy the fun of October 31st

Crunchy sand - add puffed rice, pumpkin buckets, wooden scoops and star links with sticker eyes in to your sand tray.




Ghostly wash day - open up white toilet paper rolls, remove the tube, add to a tray with sharpie pen drawn ghosts on transaparent pots filled with water and where wanted, some tear-free bubbles




Halloween story books + minibeast books and night and day books - source board books for children to enjoy freely.


Cauldron catch and bean bag toss - position black cauldrons to catch children's thrown bean bags and cups with scrunched up tissue paper balls




Bat puppets to flap and wave = basic bat outline or bat character outline, drinking straws and sticky tape, crayons to decorate



Skeleton dough - skeleton cookie cutters, white drinking straws, craft stems, quantity of dough, upturned colander for fine motor threading



swamp
- lots of links, frog figures & squeaky, cornflour + water + green & brown colouring = gloop and large leaf/lily pad shapes cut from craft foam

Spider web weaving - string yarn, trellis and spider! incy wincy spider rhyme
