I have a question Nvq 2 Cype section 4 unit 11 help!!!

Hi all I’m doin m level two and currently doing section 4 (unit 11) in the folder safeguarding the welfare of children and young people. Can anyone help me with q10? Produce a flow chart showing the procedures to follow if there are concerns that a child or young person has been, is being or is at risk of being abused harmed or bullied. Any help would be really appreciated

Hi, what does your setting's policy say you should do in these situations? The procedures that the policy states will help you produce the flow chart.

CYPW level 2 TDA 2.2 free sample chapter, scroll down to page 32

or use the preview pages on amazon.co.uk

This is from the Level 2 EYE Introduction to Childcare handbook Page 73

Procedures will involve how you;
  • report concerns about possible signs or changes in behaviour to the designated person or your manager
  • take what children say seriously – it will take a lot of courage to tell you and children will rarely lie about abuse reassure children that they are not to blame if they tell you they have been abused
  • tell children that you will have to tell someone who can help them
  • write down what you have observed or what has been said – but keep the information secure.
Never:
  • promise to keep information a secret
  • investigate further or ask questions
  • appear shocked
  • make promises to children.
Hope this helps a little xx
