I actually started one of these over a year ago.........so much info!

well, my maiden name is Latson

we were the only ones in england apparenty, but is very popular in america!
translator people come up with "son of lat" as a "origin"

at the moment i belive there is just my dad and brother listed in england!!. a dad was one of 5 girls and onyl have one brother, who is expecting his first!!! and that is supposed to be a boy x

my maiden name is Aaronricks, we are the only ones in england, apparently it is dutch/south african and came over here in the boer war. all of my generation are girls so we may be the last ones!

how about Pratt? Always wondered where that came from!!! Had to feel sorry for the pratts in my care!! Always wished they could stay small!

Hi Kea, That's the first time I've heard that one,i.e. your surname. Lived in S. A .for 30 odd years of my life and married to a born and bred S. A. I'm British,so is he now.
Where in S.A. did your ancestors come from?Sounds as if there is a Jewish connection somewhere.
