Ours love collage making. We keep a tray of bits such as sweet wrappers, oddments of paper, sequins etc on our independent creative trolley. The children then help themselves to glue sticks, paper and bits from the tray. Most days we have one or the other of them glueing and sticking.

we add a few drops of food colouring to pva just to make a bit of a change .This is good for the really young ones who are just discovering glue and never stick anything on .

we mix ready mix paint to our PVA.. children adore the fluorescent glue!!

and as glue pots we use the sample paint pots from DIY stores.. just ask parents for them, or we got a load when the local store was selling old samples at 10p. They work really well, made a stand for them by cutting a hole in a lid and standing them in it.. non tip posts, small enough to hold if needed, and easy to clean and a lid to put on to stop it drying out!!
