Default Policies & Procedure re; Theft!

Can anyone give me any ideas on where to look/ what to include regarding including a Policy for Theft? Does your setting have one?

We have just has an indicent involving a student placement and now we are wondering what needs to be including in our documentation for future reference.

Can anyone help please?

you dont need a policy to cover criminal acts you simply call the police! you should however have a locked place where people can put their valuables and of course let the college know asap but you cant policy for every eventuality
