not an artist..but fun anyway

I did this with older preschoolers...get a calendar of artists...u know the ones and I covered it with sugar paper leaving a few windows placed strategically here and there...I sat the children down in small groups and showed them the bits behind the windows...we talked,discussed,predicted,guessed..(older ones could go and draw what they think is the rest of the picture)...then open another window..se if opinions have changed...eventually show all the page..and see who was right...the best one was a lady stood at a fireplace holding a book..they got shown the firplace which made them think of firworks...and then the ladys hands holding the book..so suddenly she was reading by the fire...is a real interesting way of getting more out than u put in..
