LCDP is a community development organisation that works across Lincolnshire. For the last 6 years we have provided community development support as part of City of Lincoln Council Neighbourhood Working area. This contract will end 31.03.11, which will result in 7 people being made redundant. 7 very experienced, hard working, incredibly skilled people. Also in September we our contract with Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust will end with the loss of another 6 redundancies. This programme has been working with the BME communities across the County supporting individuals and groups to access Mental Health services. Again a in the most disadvantaged areas. These two services will not be replaced and the people who will lose out are vulnerable local people, who, without our support will be even more disadvantaged. All of these cuts are hitting the worst off in society, when the government want to build a 'big society'!
