I found this news report interesting & as an outsider looking on, made me wonder what actual employment opportunities there are and whether, to their own detriment colleges are answering a larger problem where by they take on returning students that are unable to find job offers in the work place …

Call to end use of colleges as 'day centres for disabled'

Where should the focus be once a course has been completed and a grade achieved and who should take up that focus ....
