SOS 2.3 Evaluate the practical implications of the safeguarding and welfare requirements within the EYFS .. HELP!

Hi!

I am at a mental block with question 2.3 of my assignment.

2.3 Evaluate the practical implications of the safeguarding and welfare requirements within the EYFS

I have staff ratios - and how they need maintaining when a staff member is off sick, however, I'm struggling to think of other practical implications within an early years setting.

"you are telling me some difficulties you may face trying to follow these safeguarding requirements. Eg. If a staff member is off, how to maintain ratios"

My mind is stuck!!

Please give me some examples or help!

It's due in on the 18th!

Hi, unless you've been instructed otherwise you might find it easier to use the EYFS framework for this criteria.

Section 3, page 16 details the safeguarding and welfare requirements which you can use.

For example, page 28 3.50 Accident and injury states how the first box must be accessible at all times with contents suitable for children. Who checks the contents to make sure items that have been used are replaced?

Hope this helps xx

This has been a great help! I am struggling through child development and safeguarding as my first two units on my level 3 diploma! I have asked my assessor how much I need to write and how much detail I need to have included. Thank you!
