Product Description
What can that be in the foggy, foggy forest? Whether it's a fairy queen on a trampoline, three brown bears on picnic chairs, or an ogre doing yoga, children will love trying to guess what each foggy silhouette will be. This unusual novelty book uses opaque paper to create the mysterious misty landscape, and hilarious fairytale fun lies around every corner.

Play Activities

Items that can help create a Foggy atmosphere:
  • Tracing paper
  • White Tissue paper sheets
  • Heavy Netting
  • Thin layers of Quilt wadding
Use the above to set up play areas for exploration:

Foggy out your visual timetable and squint to see what's next to do ... can the Children tell you ...

Cover up your self registration board - if used, and see it the children can find their name / card ..

Role play with pre made 'foggy binoculars - or make as part of your junk modelling & craft activities.

Shining headlights Activity - Look at car headlights - for older children explore why headlights are more effective on a lower setting..

Hang the items listed above on a mobile dress rail - or similar and provide a selection of torches.

Encourage the children to shine the lights through the hanging media and direct it at specific - or random - place/s on the wall.

Gently supervise where the torches may be used to shine in eyes.

Where adventurous play and risk is offered hold out net curtains, capes and other coverall materials that have a fog like appearance for the children to run through and get caught up in - where they initiate, allow them to tangle up and fall with the materials.

RISK: Provide soft landing areas for this play.

Imaginative & innovative play - can you sew buttons on fog ?
Use quilt wadding and glue / sew / tuck large buttons or other objects into the fibres - hang and display - risk assess for choking hazards.

Have fun and please continue to add your play ideas for fog ..
