hi, i work with 12-24 month children and was thinking of doing some activities to celebrate the chinese new year, it is the year of the rabbit, some ideas i thought of were:- asking the parents could they encourage their child to bring in anything to do with rabbits ie. cuddly toy or photos. singing the action rhyme "hop little bunnies", baking biscuits using rabbit cookie cutters. do you think these ideas are beyond realistic? and any other ideas would be very much appreciated,

you could use some chinese music ....I found some at the libary and played it during the sessions ...I work with older children...but it might work for you too! :)
we are having a chinese role play area, small table with plastic food, small chopsticks, chinese fabrics, posters, small plastic bowls, spoons and a small wok. We will be cooking simple stir fry and noodles for snack ......and using various cut outs to design a dragon x
