Default NVQ K2S17 the duty to safeguard children. Who to talk to if concerns are not taken seriou

please please can someone help me. I had my 202 back last night but i have to re-do K2S17 the question is:
explain the duty within the childcare sector to safeguard children. explain the diffulcties you may experience where your concerns may not be taken seriously or followed through according to normal procedures.

I had put that that if it get taken seriously the child may be taken out of the setting by carer and abuse continues. This wouldnt put much faith in us as a setting but we as childcare providers wouldnt take the system seriously.
I thought that would have been the right answer but it wasnt!!!!! This is doing my head in and maknig me doubt my ability to do this course....please help
thank you

Hiya

This is asking what you would do if your concerns were not taken seriously when you reported suspected or actual abuse to a colleague or actually reported a colleague for something you had seen / heard etc in regards to abuse or possible abuse.

In this situation you would go over your Manager's head or Child Protection Officer and report your concerns or actual evidence directly to your Local Safeguarding Children Board / First Response / Ofsted / Police etc.
Hope that helps!
