General question 305.1 PC7 Rights & Responsibilities

Hiya

I am on the last bit of my 305 (protect and promote children's rights) unit and I am having a complete block of what to write for one of the PCs.

It is for element 305.1 - Promote equality of access.

PC7 - Provide information to children about their rights and responsibilities in the context of your setting

Thanks you

Hi, this performace criteria can be evidenced through a range of ways. How does your setting let Children know their rights and responsibilitites - what's expected of them, maybe through posters and displays. Do these welcome the children, how do you allow them to see/feel/hear their name. How do you help them get to know it and ensure each child knows they are part of the group.

Do you have a 'things to remember' poster anywhere that asks them things such as - to walk, not shout, respect each other, wash hands after toilet/before food, wipe feet, where they can access activity information, the resources and know where they can take them to play ...

What does your prospectus say you will do as a setting for the children in your care and how does that relate back to 'in practice ..

Hth

Best wishes
