how would you find out (assess) what the childs needs are?-do they need to develop a certain area? i.e physical skills? (spices) or do they not eat certain foods-jewish? or are they elergic to some things? how would you find out?
(think about observations, communication with parents, cummunication with family and child, talking with other proffecionals who work with the child etc)
then you have to say how you would plan to meet those needs?
for example i would assess a childs needs by observing him and then i would plan effectivly to meet the needs by using reasorces such as... planning in a team with other staff?, using the eyfs, using previous activities that have worked well or using what the childs parents have told me-the childs likes/dislikes.
if i observed that a 3 year old had poor fine motor skills and because of this found it hard to join bricks together etc but spent a lot of time in the sand and with the balls and found he loved playing with others. Then i would discuss with staff and the childs parents and do activities such as putting the bricks into the sand and set a small group the task of building a tower. I would also plan activities using small balls in a circle time. Painting as a group and ... these would develop his skills... id then carry out and evaluate planned activities and use the outcome to better plan in the future.
mostly it wants you to talk about how and what reasorces you could use, the planning cycle and how to find out what a childs needs are and meet them. id give examples.
hope this helps
