Has anyone actually held one of these?

I'd not heard of them beore, but think they could be really good .. maybe a spin off from 'parents evening' !!!

hi

we havent but do find even getting the parents to come in for the parent meetings is hard enough. far too many these days are wanting to drop and run. not enough time for parent rota, helping out. they seem to be wanting them to start earlier and earlier. but then are not really interested in what the child has done. unless of course they dont produce some craft!!
sorry ranting a bit there

when I worked in Social Services we had these...some parents really wanted to develop new stratagies in regards to managing their child's behaviour etc...whilst other parents saw it as an opportunity to switch off for an hour....I ran these sessions and felt whatever the parents view, the children were benefiting...
