Hospital Broadcasting Week 2008 starts on Saturday 29th March to Sunday 6th April 2008
Organised by Hospital Broadcasting Association their aim is to highlight the importance of hospital radio ~ a vital part of the communication network within hospital's wards.

Use these Activity sheets to collect your children's radio requests ... tear the bottom strip off & leave them with the activity !!
What effect does a hospital radio station have ?
Talk to the children about how they think listening to the radio would help patients to feel better.
How would they be feeling if they were in hospital - Lonely, Sad, Bored, Fed up, missing people and things at home ?
Would listening to music and people talking make some of those feelings go away?

Make a
Mixing Console
SWEET
Rectangular biscuits as the mixing console base !
Sweets for the buttons, knobs & dials: chocolate buttons/drops, grapes, raisins and cherries.
Icing sugar & water ~ mix to a paste and spread over the biscuit to stick the 'buttons in place.
SAVOURY mixing console
Use crackers as the base.
Cream cheese as the 'glue !!
Cucumber chunks, halved cherry tomatoes, carrot pieces and apple chunks.
Talk about how the buttons and switches on a mixing console makes the sounds & voices mix together .. they make certain instruments sound louder & quieter than others.
