An activity to link to the story - hide different fruits from the story around the room. children to collect up and put on a large wooden bowl or in a basket, then take turns in carring it across the room to their friend. talking about the different fruits - how many, colours, shapes, textures, heavy/light, fav fruits etc

oohh was reading this yesturday with some of the children. we were outside . they then started looking around at the birds flying around.
