Teacher introductions ?

Do any of your feeder school teachers ever call in to meet the children & parents before the september intake ?

Do you know if they supply written introductions & basic 'things to expect' letters for parents who can't make a meeting ?

ours visit, they get paid extra to allow them to get cover, all visit except one...the one we send most children to and is next door!!
Others come from a distance to see just one child!
All coming have visited already.

they see the parents at school but spend an hour or so with the children in the setting.

Also have link programme for children with special needs on Action Plus,
reports go to LEA,
meetings with LEA, parents us and new school,
3x Visits by us and child to new school,
3x visit by new school to us
All in summer term

They autumn term
1xvisit by us to new school to see child has settled.

All paid hours paid for by a grant for cover staff paperwork etc.
