General question Hints and Tips Welcome

I am now onto the next bit and have been asked to create a poster / display aimed at children and families on a healthy lifestyle and it must include:

Healthy Food
Benefits of Exercise
Reducing Risk of Diseases
Types of Food
Types of Diseases (obesity, diabeties etc)
Exercise Initiatives in the local area

I'm not sure where to start on this, I keep looking at websites on all different parts to include, but it just looks like pages of words.

Has anyone got ideas on how I can actually change it all into a poster / display and get it all on the way of looking good for the assessor.

Thank you all

Are you really suppose to do one display/poster incorporating all of these ideas? The only way to do it as a whole would be a parent information board - but that would look so boring (probably!) that nobody would read it!

In my pre-school, we made a colourful display of photos of the children enjoying various activities involving fruit and veg for a healthy eating display - photos of them on a trip to the greengrocer, squeezing orange juice, sorting by colour, making fruit salad etc - with speech bubbles of the children's comments ("I like bananas - they're squishy") etc. The border was also created on Word and showed different comments and pictures of healthy food.

We also made another display showing the activities and equipment for our PE sessions - photos of the children warming up and cooling down, alongside information/comments about why these are necessary parts of the session.

I made posters about contagious diseases which were in the area - chicken pox and slap cheek, explaining to parents the signs and symptoms and any incubation period/exclusion times.

Hi Janeb

Yeah i've got to include all of them apart from the Exercise Initiatives in the Local Area, as I got to put that in a leaflet. I've got to show her written work when she comes to see me, that I have done on it all to put on the display/poster. So I was thinking of written and photo ideas, but it just where to start ahhhh lol
