Default I'm hating this course !!

Sorry to moan, but I'm finding the course really hard, been quite a few yrs since I first quaified. Having to do this course because of my job. I'm seeing my tutor tomorrow morning, She is going to record everything I say (going to be doing questions & answers, unit 303) I've been told I'm behind in my course. I don't find the whole reading thing that easy, find it hard as every time I try & study I get sleepy lol also havin 2 small children around isn't easy! thanks for leeting me have a moan. hello! I've got to do NVQ3 because of my job as well, so understand completely! It is a real tie, especially when you know you do a good job but have to prove it on paper. I've only recently found silkysteps and have found it a great help and to have a moan knowing that there are others who feel the same! I've just done 303, waiting for my assessors comments! All the best for tomorrow

Hello Sammyvater,

I have just finished my NVQ Level3 and I also had to do it because of the job I am in, I went through 2 assessor and found it hard, quite a few times I had a moan on here and felt like I wanted to give it all up. I have a slight learning problem where I find it hard to put things on paper or even say it properly, but get me to show you how to do my job and that I can do. It can be really hard specially when you do find it hard to do the paper work side of it all. My assessor never told me until the last moment that she could have recorded all my answers to save me struggling with the paper work, but like I said she told me it way too late.

I promise you it does get easier and you will find that all of a sudden it is done and it is the best feeling in the world. If you are struggling maybe you could speak to your assessor and let her know how you are feeling, most assessor are more then willing to listen to see if there are other ways they can help you as they are keen for you to complete the course. I found I could speak to my second assessor but it was just a tad too late for me when I did speak to her. Another way is if you have good working buddies is to speak to them and see if any of them could help you through the course. I had a new manager start at my place and she helped me loads.

It's ok to moan as most of us have been there and had a moan ourselves so dont worry, it'ss better to get it of your chest instead of keeping it inside.

I hope it all goes well tomorrow.

Keep smiling through

If you're finding hard writing it all down ask for professional discussons, and 'talk' your way throught it- especially if your comfortable having it recorded.
The NVQ should be enjoyable (ish!!!!!!!) ....talk to your tutor/assessor and expalin how you feel.

Thanks for the comments girls, Hearing what you said sounsed like listening to myself lol I too have learning problems & have ask for a test on that as I've never had it comfirmed. Put me in my pre-school with a bunch of children & I know I ****** good at what I do, it's just this course. I've not been feeling well, a friend of mine thinks I'm making myself ill worrying about it. Can't say I'm looking forward to the the recording side but I know it's to save me writing. thanks again for letting me moan, I'll let you know how is went. xxxx
