SOS SHC 23 - equality and diversity

I'm being slightly silly and I'm reading into questions to much and making it to complicated for my self (struggling with no tutor help and doing it on my own)

I was wondering if anyone could help me explain
Equality
Diversity
Inclusion
Discrimination

I know that's a really easy questions but it just seems to easy..

Also in which ways discrimination may deliberately occur in the work setting ?

Hi, a very warm welcome to the site.

Pages 25+ of this level 2 CYPW handbook - link is to amazon.co.uk looks at unit SHC 2.3 and goes into detail about what equality, diversity, inclusion and discrimination are all about.

Deliberate and unintentional discrimination can occur in a setting through the resources available or not available, what people know and don't know about discrimination, what the visual environment looks like, stereotyping, the language that's used in the setting, talking about differences, celebrations and how everyone in the setting challenges discrimination and encourages change - working in a way that is inclusive.

Hope this helps a little, best wishes with your study xx

Thank you ever so much! The problem is I don't have a level 2 book and being on apprentice wage, I have no chance of affording one either!

But that has helped for the next question thank you very much xx

Hi, get in touch with your college as they might be able to loan you a copy or give you access to an online version. The textbook offers good reading that supports your research and your tutor's teaching - you also need to check why you're not receiving any tutor help.

Best wishes xx

I had already asked that and they provided me with a level 3 book instead... Pearsons have lots of online samples of their level 2 book so I have been using that. And I only see her once a month, so that'd be why and when I do see her she just looks over my work and that's it...
not very good but I'll be studying my level 3 somewhere else

Thank you for the information xx
