Ofsted is writing to all childminders to ask if you would like us to publish your name, address and telephone number on our website from September 2012.
There are around 60,000 registered childminders, some of whom advertise their services through their local authority. Currently, we publish details for other types of childcare providers, such as nurseries but all childminder reports are displayed anonymously. Some childminders requested for their contact details to be displayed on the Ofsted website to make it easier for prospective parents to make contact with them.
