Well, Dad got an omelette sandwich for breakfast, followed by cards and gifts of drawings, home-made vouchers (wash car, extra-long cuddle etc), World Cup choccies, World Cup book, 2 t-shirts and an England 3 lions air freshener. Then when it started to rain, we took him out for a lovely wet walk in our refurbished South Park! Now Dad and son are slobbing out on the sofas watching 22 men chase a ball! I think it's been a successful 1st Father's Day!

We've had a very strange and hard fathers day this year. I went out on a ladies night last night, got in at 3am very very drunk, still feeling ruff!!! We had a big row and spent the rest of the day ignoring eachother!! Kids got him a cd and made him some lovely cards so at least he should have some nice memories of today.

i hate it when days like this dont go to "plan"

i personally would just love a home made card and a lie in, but although i say this it never happens (on mothers day) then am grumpy but cheerful because of pressies etc. i do think that these days are getting way over comercial, and another "expence"
