Default research project-enabling enviroments

Hi all, i am just about to start my research project, im doing enabling enviroments. Has anybody got and tips on doing the research projects, i would like to put together some kind of plan of action, what kind of reasearch i can do and where to find this ect.

If anybody has a research project they could send a bit of just so i get the idea, i would appreciate it.
