Hi, welcome to silkysteps
Identify means to examine who your setting might have contact with and then further afield for places that you can ask when the information you already have isn't enough or doesn't appear to meet needs. Describe means you might be talking to your tutor about what happens in your setting and how you'd respond to needing information you don't have - why you'd ask people, check paperwork, find out who else can help.
Places would be parents, the children themselves, colleagues; your workmates, management and other professionals connected to the setting - care providers, schools
The setting's policies and procedures - reading and knowing these helps you understand why and how things are done.
External professionals who can help the setting with inclusion, be aware of diversity and let everyone know about the setting's legal obligation towards equality eg.
Local Authority or county council departments - early years team?
People connected to your local GP surgeries - Doctors, health visitors, nurse,
Library
Charity or organisations that are related to your type of setting.
eg. that have focus on anti-discrimination, PLA, NDNA, PACEY?
OfStEd if you're in england
Good reading for this is
human rights,
childrens rights and the
equality act 2010
Hope this helps, enjoy the site xx
