Hi, open and
transparent means you can work in ways that are unguarded, that don't conflict, are defensive, challenge inappropriately or unnecessarily, that you can explain the reasoning when asked about practice, policies and procedures or look for reasoning where unsure, or where current reasoning, knowledge is highlighted as possible discrimination, know what information is confidential and sensitive, share and protect it in appropriate ways.
Maybe test transparency & openness by asking - 'can you tell me if .. / how / why / when / what / ..?
Propriety is about you as the owner of your behaviour, opinions, views and how you conduct yourself, what do and don't you do as a professional early years practitioner, inline with the behavioural expectations of your setting and the
sector.
