Christmas gift wrapping service?

:santahat:

If you are looking to raise additional funds over /or in the run up to christmas, how about offering a gift wrapping service?

For a small fee you could ask volunteers to wrap 1 or a set amount of gifts for a small reasonable fee.

Can you pre make your wrapping paper (with the children maybe?) or purchase bulk amounts to keep the price down?
Make or buy labels & rosettes and ask for donations of carrier bags to hold the newly wrapped gifts!

Set up a table at your local Christmas fayre offering the service for items purchased there and then and maybe issue contact details of volunteers willing to undertake gift wrapping services at a convenient time !

SEE HERE for a demo contact card you could give out.

Ask a local business if you could use their foyer as a venue for gift wrapping items purchased from their shop.
Set up a table and sort out a list of volunteers.

THINGS TO TAKE.....

Wrapping paper
Sticky tape
Ribbon
Rosettes
Gift labels
Carrier bag
Pen
Table
Table cloth

PAPERWORK TO TAKE
  • Rota for volunteers
  • Consent form or your initial letter that states the business is allowing you to use it's foyer on a particular day & time (this is for legal vending reasons!!)
  • A sign that tells everyone who you are, what you are doing, how much things are and contact details (like your charity number ) so that customers (the general public) are aware you are legitimate!
  • Contact details of volunteers - if you are going to be continuing to offer the service up until Christmas (make sure the volunteers have agreed to having their names/contact details put on a card and given out)
Have fun and raise lots of needy money
