Highfive Live Bird Box watching ~ online

This incredible Bird box project has been set up to monitor the various stages throughout nest building to egg hatching.
Across primary schools in the UK you can follow their feathery residents activities via live webcam .. and the chicks have just hatched in Poulner primary Schools birdbox

www.segfl.org.uk/birdbox

Fantastic We wish them all the best of luck with this great project.

We have a web cam at our school (just for us, not on the net!) and have a mum and chicks. Also have duck eggs in an incubator. Had a visit today from 5 ducklings born yesterday - they came to us for thier first bath, ahhhh.
The children (and us adults!) had a great time. Another started hatching this afternoon, so should have duckling number 6 by tomorrow. Poor TA had to call into school this evening around 9pm to ensure duckling 6 was ok!

I've just had an email to say that SEGFL are holding an 'Ask the expert' day this Friday ~ 26th May
If anyone has a question to post on their forum which Mr Peter Haynes to answer - this is the link to use...

There is lots more information on the site about this project.

Toni that sounds lovely ~ my youngest had a visit at school from a brood of chicks and still hasn't stopped talking about them .. and that was 2 weeks ago :muted: lol.. goes to show how much of an impact they can make
