News Item Holiday entitlement changes for the 1st April 2009

Source: Businesslink - Holiday Entitlement
Quote:
Did you know that the minimum number of weeks' paid annual leave that you must give your employees increases on 1 April 2009?

From that date, employees' statutory minimum holiday entitlement will increase from 4.8 weeks to 5.6 weeks per year.

For example, if your employee works a five-day week, you must increase their holiday allowance from 24 to 28 days' leave per year from 1 April.
