General question nature or nurture

hello everyone
Im having a bit of a problem with an assignment I was wondering if anyine has done aspects of learning and development in year 1?
The essay is discuss the role of nature and nurture in understanding the developing child?

learning out comes:
1. discuss a range of influencers of development health and well being
2. evalluate theoretical perspectives on child and young peoples development and link to current research and practise.

Iv ended up writng 900 words but it doesnt seem as tho its right how can i discuss all influences and theorists in 2000 words its impossible. Any ideas for a new approach???

thanks
xx

nature nurture is a tough one try looking at chomsky's language aquisition, and the story of genie who was locked away for years by her family.

perhaps look at humanist theory, it places great emphasis on supporting children's emotional well being or intelligence in order to support learning and development? You could perhaps contrast it with the Behaviourist approach where children are told how to behave or think?
