Hi,
I expect all those lovely thoughts have gone from your pen as soon as it touched the page!
Practice on paper, read a few times and change it. Just write what you feel and if you want to keep it posiitive start off with something such as:

It was a pleasure/lovely ( simple if you want it read to the child) to have shared the time with you 'Emily' over the past two years. I/we have had so much fun especially when we baked our muffins and they all fell off the tray on the floor - how we laughed....

It doesn't have to be that, but if you writie it to the child and write of some memories, I'm sure they'll love it - if you have photo or picture to add, that'll make it more special.

If you want to write something a little more grown up/formal for the parents add a post script or give them a separate card saying what a pleasure it was to have their daughter, say you'll miss them and thank them for choosing you to be her carer.

I hope this gets you off your mental block!
