. Give a written explanation of the holistic patterns of children and young people's physical, communication, intellectual and learning, social, emotional and behavioural development in each of the following age groups:
• 0-3 years
• 3-7 years
• 7-12 years
• 12-16 years
Throughout this explain how current theories of child care development can influence snd direct practice eg. (Here are a few to start you off, Vygotsky, Bruner, Skinner

this is the backbone of good practice. knowing your child development. you need to get a good book like the meggitt book or a good CD website and describe how each stage of development looks like in each area. some of course cross over. at level 3 the theories should intertwine all your answers in every unit so you need to get a handle on them. try the linda pound books or google each name they are all very straightforward and we use each daily in some way.

0-3 years . social - knowledge and recognize faces and voices,responds to family,listens and gurgles.
Physical- smiles,kicks legs,waves arms,sits up ,crawls,stands,walks,runs,jumps,dance,manipulative skills like doing up buttons and dressing them selfs.using sissors,pens ,paints,feeding,drinking from cups.
Intellectual-knowledge people,words,places and sounds.
Communication-smiles,crys when wanting some thing,gurgling. Puting words together,drawing pictures.
Emotional-Happy,sad,anxiety,fear,anger,love,friendships.bull ying,disapointment,tease.
Safety factors-suffocation,over heating,choking,door hinges,stairs,getting burnt (matches,stoves,firers,radiators,light bulbs,hot taps)Falling,plug sockets(electric appliances)poisioning,knettles,victim of bullying

Social-more confident,seeking oppertunitys,youth clubs,after school activities,meeting up with friends.
Physical-more physical activities,walking ,cycling,dancing,sports.
Intellectual-high levels of skills,seeks more knowledge,personal intrests.
Communication-mobile phones,mail,internets.
Emotional- relationships,friendships.Anxiety,trust.judgmental ,opionionated,verbal.
Safety factors-drugs,alchol,pressure,road safety,strangers,pregnancies,dieseases.
THE ABOVE PRETTY MUCH COVERS THE AGES 12-16 YEARS AS WELL.
