Book Review Trixie - Nick Butterworth's Witches cat ..

Halloween book reviews for Preschool, home and other Early years settings ..

Trixie the witch's cat by Nick Buterworth

Links in association with Silkysteps amazon affiliate account

Trixie the cat has one white paw which distingues her from all the other witch's black cats. Trixie is aware and sad that this paw makes her different and causes her to wonder how she can possibly be a real witches cat if she isn't black all over.

With some boom, hocus pocus magic Trixie takes things into her own paws and turns her white paw black.

All is well for a little while until she realises she cannot recognise herself anymore and misses the paw that made her, her.

As tears of sadness fall they wash the once white, coal black paw .. grey, then back to white...

This is a great book for colour, cats, inclusion, diversity and halloween

Extend to craft with black felt pens and mark making on kitchen/blotting paper. Dampen with drops of water and see what happens..
