heres what i put children of this age are becoming aware of the dangers surrounding them and need to learn to assess these themselves.If we keep making the decisions they will never learn to take risks. if we know the childrens abilities we can provide appropriate challenges. We can be on hand to make sure they are safe from serious harm and to help if asked but if they achieve something they havent done before this boosts their confidence and gives them the incentive to try other things
