Default Committee Advice

Hi,

Wondered if anyone could help.
Our pre-school is a reg charity and is committee based.
Our chair is standing down tomorrow and has decided to be vice chair.
Is that allowed or as I seem to remember if you stand down you have to be nominated and elected into another role?

Thanks

you have a very clear constitution if it is pla and she can self nominate BUt she has to be voted in at a meeting which is quorate. if it isn't they have to call another meeting.
