in desperate need of ideas for outdoor games, to cover a physical activity and also combine intellectual development.

I'm a student but in my recent placement, a practitioner put out plastic guttering at different heights and encouraged the children to pour water down them. The children then were encouraged to alter the height of the guttering so that the water ran more slowly. They brought the guttering inside another day and rolled toy cars down it, which the children really enjoyed.
