All childminders please read!

Childminders... your self employed status, Ofsted regulation, right to an individual inspection, incomes, sustainability and many other parts of your businesses are currently potentially under threat by the government!

There has been a lot of discussion recently by various members of government about how to bring down the cost of childcare - and childminders seem to be at the receiving end of what could be sweeping and, many of us believe, not very positive changes.

Can I ask you to please take a moment to read and sign this petition to protect your future income and self employed status -

http://www.change.org/petitions/uk-g...e-childminders

Pass it on to parents, other childminders who value their independence and inform local MPs.

There is a campaign to retain Ofsted regulation run by NCMA - you do not need to be a member - it is open to all childminders.

I have also included information about some of the concerns facing childminders on my current blog (05.2012) - http://knutsfordchildminding.blogspot.com.

Your support is needed... thank you!
