Meningitis Winter Awareness - A Race Against Time. Cases of meningitis increase in the winter with most cases occurring in December and January. As we come into the winter months cases of meningitis and septicaemia in the UK will increase. As these diseases can kill in hours it is vital that symptoms are recognised as soon as they occur in order to get early treatment - it can be a Race Against Time.
Meningitis Research Foundation will be raising awareness of these diseases through a number of initiatives:
