Book Review Book Review: Teeny Weeny Tadpole ~ Sheridan Cain ~ Jack Tickle

Teeny Weeny Tadpole ~ Sheridan Cain ~ Jack Tickle

A beautifully illustrated book and great storyline perfect for a Lifecycle, Spring or Amphibian theme !!

Follow the Teeney Weeny Tadpole as he meets lots of creatures that can already hop & jump ... in turn they each end there message to Tweeny Weeny Tadpole with the assurance that one day he too will be able to

Big, bright and bold pictures make this an excellent resource for toddlers as well as older children.

A traditional craft way to make frogspawn for a wall/plate display is to use Bubble wrap.
With a permanent marker, draw on the spawn eggs on each bubble.
Explain to the children that this is the 'egg that grows into a tadpole and then the tadpole turns into a frog!

Tadpoles can be made with clay or black/dark brown plydough.
roll the moddelling material into a ball and then ethier pinch out a tail or roll another small sauge shape ~ flatten it then attach it to the ball for the tail.
Create eyes with a pencil nib or modelling tools and slice a mouth with the edge of a ruler or knife (adult to use !!)
