Hi, yes the sites may differ in their approach to personalised learning that can be what it's all about xx If it helps, for me it would start with seeing each child as their own person, a unique individual with huge potential. What that child's interests are, age, stage of development, family structure & culture, then what the provision itself offers in terms of resources, its knowledge base, training and the paperwork that's needed to support personalised learning, then ultimately a continual drive to try and ensure respect & choices always exist for children, colleagues and parents to have the final decision or control over anything that might affect them directly.
For early years this term is taken from page 36 of
Early Years Management in Practice, 2nd edition link is to amazon, there's a little more on this in the book's amazon preview
Personalised learning - embraces every aspect of the child's experience in the setting, including teaching and learning strategies and assessment techniques.
Hth, best wishes
