Hi, welcome to the site, there are many creditable sources on the internet that can help with this research.

Personalised learning is a highly structured and responsive approach to learning for each individual child and young person. It creates an ethos in which all pupils are able to progress, achieve and participate. It strengthens the link between learning and teaching by engaging pupils and their parents as partners. Thank you for your response. I am in the process of researching information for this question. What I am finding is that there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer . All sites seem to have their own view on how personalised learning is achieved, or is it just the way I'm interpreting the info?? I want to make sure I understand it correctly before writing my answer.

Hi, yes the sites may differ in their approach to personalised learning that can be what it's all about xx If it helps, for me it would start with seeing each child as their own person, a unique individual with huge potential. What that child's interests are, age, stage of development, family structure & culture, then what the provision itself offers in terms of resources, its knowledge base, training and the paperwork that's needed to support personalised learning, then ultimately a continual drive to try and ensure respect & choices always exist for children, colleagues and parents to have the final decision or control over anything that might affect them directly.

For early years this term is taken from page 36 of Early Years Management in Practice, 2nd edition link is to amazon, there's a little more on this in the book's amazon preview

Personalised learning - embraces every aspect of the child's experience in the setting, including teaching and learning strategies and assessment techniques.

Hth, best wishes

Thank you again.
I think I am on the right track now. Or at least I hope I am. lol
All through this course I have been 'over thinking' everything and my tutor has said I have been going too deep with my answers. He said its not a bad thing as it shows my understanding and passion for the subject but for me its been time consuming and confusing at times.
Fingers crossed I pass this last assignment and get my qualification.

what are the issues of personalised learning....its so hard as most theories are that it is very effective
