Biggrin Great day yesterday!

Great day yesterday!

I had the baby for 3 hours on my own, longest we have done before is 1/2hour. (bear in mind this is the baby who has severe seperation anxiety and the last nanny left cos he was crying 8 hours a day with her) so we have been doing loads of playing with the parents thier to get him used to me.

WEll heres yesterday -

parents and K left - he didnt cry!!! we just waved at window. I played with him on floor, then did his nappy, then i put him down for a nap, he only did 2 wee screams when i put him down and he was fine, went straight off. he slept for 40 mins and i woke him (else would be no point in me having him lol)

He didnt cry when i got him up! I fed him 1/2 a fruit pot and a rice cake, then got him dreassed in his fleesey all in one suit, we went out for a walk in the buggy to mother care and he chatted to me all the way (well babled in baby talk) and we played with some toys there, and came home. I fed him more fruit pot and he drank lots of milk from his cup (he has only just stopped breast feeding full time and was struggling having expressed milk ina cup but hes doing so well)

Then we were playing and they caqme home and the mum was in tears with how happy and relaxed he looked and how well he had been!! I was nealry crying too!

Just shows that the last week and a half of me being with them and playing along side the parents have paid off and we now have a happy baby!!!

Parents go back to work on Thursday, so have a few more days of pracice runs first. xxx

Well done you

I think babies have a good sense of those around them, you obviously have a

special way with the baby, he trusts you and knows he is safe in your care,

Im sure his parents feel lucky too, it will be so hard for them to leave him,

but by knowing he is content will make all the difference.
