Hedgehog awareness week for 2016 is during May 1st - 7th - British Hedgehog Society

This dough activity helps to practice the techniques involved with rolling balls of dough between two hands, or one hand and a surface. Use different quantities for spheres that support language and conversation.

Please use the printable sheet as secondary to children's own design work




Enjoy permanent models by rolling balls of clay/dough and pinching out one section to form a snout. Use pencils or scultpting tools scribe into the surface of the clay to recreating fur detail, eyes and nostrils. Add chosen spines and bake / leave to air-dry, then paint as wanted.
