Use your setting's situation and practices as evidence for your enquiry. Look at attitudes to gender and how welcoming and inclusive the activities are.
If you use the HGIOELC framework the quality indicators on page 5+ will help you evaluate by having you ask yourself about the setting's leadership, management and it's approach to gender. Learning provision and how the setting supports and promotes issues of gender through its areas of play, toys, activities, partnership with parents and planning. Successes and achievements and how the children understand equal rights, regardless of gender for their future life choices.
