Hi, welcome to the site. You can research more on
page 55 of this level 3 STL handbook
Quote p.55
The context of social and professional relationships will affect the way in which people communicate with one another because different situations will require it. For example if you are meeting friends informally, the language and vocabulary you use, and the way in which you behave and communicate, will be different from when you are in a work situation; if you are writing a work email it will be different from an email to friends.
You are likely to do this without thinking about it. However, in some situations you will need to have more awareness that people from different backgrounds or cultures may approach things in a different way. This may be in spokencommuniction but can also include written or non verbal forms. Remember that those from othercultures may not respond in the same way that you do.
--------------------------
•
Language - consider how you change your language so that it reflects your professionalism, and how you use, and adapt that language to communicate with children so that what is being said is understood. Where English is an additional language you will need to work with colleagues and a child's family to make sure everyone knows what is being said.
•
Cultural differences -
from page 56.
cultural differences can sometimes cause issues with communication if the other party is not aware of them.
•
Speech, language or communication impairment - consider the difficulty an individual may have in expressing themselves and making themselves understood, the time that's needed to support this and the relationships that might make this easier.
• S
ensory impairment - hearing, and sight are senses we use use to see, listen, hear and understand what is being communicated.

•
Emotional state-
from p.56 these may be due to something that is happening in the person's life at the time, or something that has come up during the working day. Emotions such as being angry, tired, upset can make it difficult for people to communicate effectively and focus on what they are doing professionally.
If you search for 'adapt communication' in
this older STL handbook pages 4+ are useful reading.
Hope this helps a little, best wishes
