ask parents to donate an item of food to make up a harvest box for local old persons group/home...we invited them to us and the children gave them a few shoeboxes of goodies and sang a few songs..it made a lot of people very happy...and that important age gap was lost just for a while

I am sure Harvest Festival depends on the local church. As we're affiliated to the church I just ring up and ask them when it is - a church up the road could have a completely different date!

What I think I'm trying to say is that a church can decide for themselves when they want it to be - but it'll definitely be late September/early October!

bye

Hiya,
thanks for letting me know. I think we will make a big thing of it this year and ask the children & families to donate things for the local community.
