I am too posessive about my card board boxes to allow my kids to play with them - i am a mean mum ;-)

We bought dd 3 a playhouse for her 1st birthday, she played in the box all day and has never shown interest in the play house.

LOL unfortunately I've lately found myself torn in two about the usual donation of boxes to my Ds .. that's what comes from working from home I guess and needing storage/packing considerations .. thankfully though Preschool experience wins through and even now we have a 'boat under the kitchen table (Don't ask !!) and an upside down one as serving as a 'shop counter !!

Looking up Mrs. Wishy washy's Farm story book made me think of this thread - has anyone turned a box into a washing machine for role play ?

At a holiday playscheme once we used boxes to make a kitchen complete with cooker, washing machine and dish washer children were insistent we didn't miss anything out! It got played with for the whole 6 weeks! we had to keep reinforcing it with extra cardboard and parcel tape as the kids couldn't bear for it to be thrown
