hi have you now finished this course? I am with the same provider and finding their lack of feedback infuriating! makes me feel very alone and not at all supported like the course was first made out to be. I was promised loads of support, seems that changes once you pay up, tut! i'd be really interested to hear how you got on, is your tutor Kerry by any chance?
thanks zoe xx

Hi Zoe,
Ha yes she was called Kerry. It was very hard and frustrating because of the lack of help and support but don't give up. I was close a few times of giving up but I kept on going and I have finished the course and I just got a job as a TA last week so there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Have you been given a list of all the units you need to do the evidence sheets for? I wasn't given that until late on and when I did get it I found it helped me get organised and I did all that stuff first so my teacher could sign them.
If you need anything then I will try my best to help out as best as I can.

Aww bless you thank you. I'm already a TA thankfully. I'm struggling with the layout, not sure how it needs to be presented. I only started last month but as I've been off work sick I've plodded through a few units, obviously it'll take forever to get them marked You know what it's like lol. I'd be grateful to see how you presented the practical parts of possible please, I've done loads so I'm hoping it's just a case of copy and paste onto the right thing, otherwise I might cry lol. If easier, *** thanks for replying xx

Hi
First time on here. I too am doing the level 3 support teaching & learning in schools diploma through uk open college, and find it very frustrating. Never get answers a question how I would expect. I am 8 months in and only have 5 units signed off (1, 2, 3,10 and 11) with another 9 to do, despite sending something every week. At the beginning she lost my work, then lost my supervision forms so said she couldn't mark my work until they were in, despite me telling her when I had sent them and at what time (done through email).
I feel I am at breaking point with this course, does anyone have any advice. I am currently trying to plough through unit 9.

Hi, a warm welcome to the site. The OCR unit pdf for TDA 3.7 maybe useful as will page 103+ of the level 3 STL handbook.

The system your school has for children's assessment will also support what you do for this unit xx

Best wishes

Thank you for that Ruthierhyme, I am looking into that book, the ones provided don't have a lot of the information in or very little info.

Hi Suzane, have you been doing it long?. I have looked at unit 5 and done bits of it but decided to leave that one a bit longer, as it looked quiet scary (well they all look bad lol).
Its not the knowledge questions that get me its the setting out of the observations/witness statements, she seems to change her mind what she wants, as unit 12 is practically signed off apart from task 7 which she says is still incorrect, I tried to match all the bullet points but told her I couldn't as we didn't have one of them, so she told me to do it as a discussion with my supervisor, did that and it's still wrong so she is phoning me next week. Unit 8 is with her waiting to be marked. Argh.
