Default Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies Year 1

ive almost completed my level 3 ccld and this would be the next step for the next 3 years!

what job would you get at the end of it?

is any1 doing this? whats it like??

Shared Perspectives of the Young Child
An Historical Overview of Early Childhood Provision
Child Protection
Progressive Practice (double module)
The Developing Child
Understanding Children’s Behaviour
Anti-Discriminatory Practice and Inclusion in the Early Years
The Acquisition of Language and Communication Skills
Learning through Play
Quality Provision in the Early Years
Either Working with Babies 0-3yrs or Working with Children with Special Educational Needs

any advice would be fantastic,i dont know whether to find a job now as a classroom assistant,which i love or study on............

unless you're working you cant do the FD. i would suggest you work and embed your learning then do an academic writing course then do the foundation degree.

course work and compulsory work placement.

does that mean u need to be employed before starting the course or u find a placement and work whilst doin the course??

Yes, you have to be working. You've written out your list of modules and for those you'll need to be in early years work fulltime to carry out the theories you will be learning; and to do your observations (often large case studies), action plans etc. Your assignments will be based on your work and the impact your learning is having on your setting. You will need English and Maths GCSE level C or above, but those with 'A' levels find it an easier transition to academic study and writing.

hi
i am doing the foundation degree full time and do a placement twice a week so it is possible hope your successful in your chosen career
