Hello,

My names sam im 24 and i have been working in child care fro the last 4 years. Im currently unemployed after my previous sole charge nanny job came to an end. I have applied for a new job in a nursery and they want me to have an understanding of the every child matters frame work but i cant find anything other than a book thats over 400 pages long and i dont have the time to sit and read the whole lot. Any help would be appreciated thank you

Heya Sam!

I have found https://www.education.gov.uk/publica...CM-Summary.pdf which is a link from the education.gov.uk website which sumarises the Every Child Matter Frame Work. This can also be linked to the 'unique child' (found in the old EYFS I think - don't quote me on this).

You may also need to look into detail about safeguarding indicators, look into inter-agency workings, look into the CAF (Common Assessment Framework) and look into cases such as Victoria Climbe.
Sorry, it's a lot to look through but if you really want this job, it will be well worth the knowledge. I hope all of this helps you and just out of interest, what qualifications do you hold?
